The Kashmir Great Lakes trek is one of the prettiest treks in India. Yet, you’ll get to enjoy its rewards only after a bit of hardwork and toil. The trek is not as easy as the pictures make it seem. What makes the Kashmir Great Lakes trek difficult?
- Long hours of trekking everyday. Each day comprises of around 6-7 hours of trekking.
- Considerable altitude gain everyday, of around 1500 – 2000 ft.
- Three strenuous pass crossings – Gadsar Pass, Nichnai Pass and Zach Pass.
